During the 1950s and 1960s Bangor Borough Council worked in conjunction with rail companies to encourage visitors to travel to Ulster. The Council often commissioned artists to recreate colourful scenes of the local area, which were used on advertising posters and souvenir brochures. The Museum houses a selection of the original poster art by artists like Claude Buckle, Derrick Hass, AJ Wilson and Bryan De Grineau.Posters-2.jpg

The collection also includes a selection of old cinema posters relating to local venues such as The Tonic and The Palace.
