Victorian Walled Garden

In the grounds of Castle Park and walking distance (less than ten minutes) from the Museum is the award winning Bangor Castle Walled Garden. The site is a restoration of the original Victorian walled garden built by the Ward family in the 1940s.

It features many unusual Victorian varieties of flowers and shrubs, an extensive herb plot and a vegetable garden (produce from which is sold in the Museum - please contact the Museum Reception for details).

The Garden is accessible and has a cafe and toilet facilities.

The Garden is open from April to October:

Monday-Thursday: 10am-8.00pm (5.30pm in April) Friday-Sunday and Bank holidays: 10am-6pm
