Four Seasons Art Exhibition

David Campbell is a young emerging local artist who was born in Newtownards in 1989.  He won the art prize in his final year at Strangford Integrated College. Having attended the South Eastern Regional College, where he studied Art & Design, David went on to achieve an Honours Degree in Fine Art from the University of Ulster.

David works from his studio in Bangor. His key influences include Basil Blackshaw, Seraphine Louis, Mark Rothko, and Neil Shawcross. His pieces are mainly executed in oil or mixed media in an abstract expressionist style and he attempts to capture the atmosphere and mood invoked by the local landscape.

In ‘Four Seasons’ David’s love of nature is aptly displayed with images from the Ards Peninsula that convey the landscape throughout the different seasons of the year.
